Puffy, the monkey king of Matoa, is an old man who decides to retire and give up his crown. His 14 grandchildren don't want him to leave because he is worshipped as a god by the citizens. So Puffy bans all magic in exchange for them letting him leave peacefully. However, Puffy's youngest grandson overrules this decision and makes all of the citizens part with their religion and magic in an effort to save his grandfather from imprisonment by Mandrake, a powerful wizard who wants to take over Matoa for its treasure trove of magical artifacts. However, Puffy has no intention of staying retired, and starts to plot against Mandrake. The film is the second part of the "Makdee" franchise. It released on 27 November 2006. It turned out to be an average grosser at the box office. Yet it did well in multiplexes and single screens across India. The film has been viewed 8500 times (as of 3/10/2014).The soundtrack for "One Two Three" was composed by Vishal-Shekhar with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar. The songs were filmed on several locations in Matoa, including the main city itself and the temple complex of the monkey god Pimple Gurav. It was released on 30 October 2006. It sold 25,000 units in the opening week of release The film received mostly negative reviews from critics. Shashi Baliga from Rediff gave it 2 out of 5 stars, describing it as "a movie that has no connect with the audience". Outlook magazine said that "the movie is a disaster, one long yawn". A critic from Bollywood Hungama called the film an "exercise in how not to make a children's film". However, it received some positive reviews as well. Anupama Chopra from NDTV thought that ""One Two Three" is a very enjoyable children's film that adults will also enjoy. It's a family film with a very modern twist." Film critic Aniruddha Guha said that "the script is pleasing and hilarious" and "the story of the film is too good". The film was nominated for seven IIFA Award nominations in 2007, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor for Govinda, Best Supporting Actress for Asrani and Celina Jaitley.
