A simple accounting software like Zahir Accounting can be a great tool in managing your money and budgeting for future needs. The power of the software is that it is simple and accessible. Many of the financial programs available today make it extremely difficult to find and track budget amounts, and Zahir Accounting is no different. But with Zahir Accounting, there is a feature called “Projects” that makes it very easy to track your budgets, giving you the information you need at any given moment! Here’s how: The first thing you want to do is set up your Budget Manager. To do this, go into “Settings” followed by “System Preferences” and click on the checkbox next to “Enable Budget Manager” so that a tick mark appears inside the checkbox. Now let’s just go over some easy tricks to get your budget set up quickly! First, let’s just say that I want to track my students' activities. So I go ahead and click on the “Users” tab on the Budget Manager, which will open up all of my users. Now here is where it gets really easy. I click on one of my users so that a small box appears below where it says “User Name”. Now I just type in my User Name and press enter, and it automatically fills out everything else for me! Now I can just click on the button that says “Add Budget Category” and type in the name of my budget category, which in this case would be “Students’ Activities.” When I Save, it will bring me back to where I was when I clicked on the category name. Now that our category is set up, let’s add some budgets to it! For this example, let’s say that each student has $100 in their budget for activities. We simply click on the “+” sign next to our Budget Category, and then type in what we want the budget for (in this case, it would be “$100”). Zahir will automatically add a few other fields like Remaining Amount, Total Amount and Balance. I can also add other budgets if I want to, such as $50 for school supplies, $50 for transportation and $200 for games and toys! As you can see, using Zahir Accounting is very simple.
